Molten thermoplastic is injected under pressure into a mold, producing precise and repeatable plastic parts at scale.

Pre-formed inserts are placed into the mold before plastic flows around them, creating a strong integrated component.

A second material is molded over a substrate to combine grip, sealing, impact protection, or cosmetic performance in one part.

Two-part liquid silicone is molded into flexible parts with high temperature, chemical, and durability performance.
| Parameter | Original Data | China Supply Chain Data | Key Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical Volume | < 2,000 | < 5,000 | Greater flexibility for low-volume production |
| Mold Cavities | Single | Single, with 1-4 cavity options available | Supports rapid iteration and multi-variant testing |
| Mold Life | Limited, 2,000 shots guaranteed | Limited, 10,000 shots guaranteed | More durable tools for larger validation runs |
| Mold Material | Aluminum | Aluminum or optional pre-hardened steel such as P20 | Better balance between cost and tool longevity |
| Parameter | Original Data | China Supply Chain Data | Key Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical Volume | N/A | > 50,000 units | Strong capability for mass production |
| Mold Cavities | Single and multi-cavity | Primarily multi-cavity, such as 1+1 or 2+2 | High production efficiency and lower piece-part cost |
| Mold Life | Unlimited | Typically 500K to 1M shots | Long tool life supports production stability |
| Mold Material | N/A | Standard pre-hardened steel, including P20 and 718H | Higher standard for dimensional stability |
Aiketek provides a practical selection of injection molding materials, from commodity plastics to specialty elastomers. Material selection is reviewed against performance, geometry, finish, and production volume.
If you cannot find a specific material or need professional guidance, choose Other when requesting a quote and describe the requirement.
A practical moldmaker finish for non-cosmetic and internal surfaces, typically showing very light tooling marks.
SPI A, B, C, and D finish targets support high-gloss, satin, matte, or grit-blasted surfaces for appearance parts.
Texture, gloss, gate location, and cosmetic faces are reviewed together before tooling is released.

Texturing can improve grip, hide flow marks, and define the visual character of enclosure and handle surfaces.
Texture depth is reviewed with draft angle so molded parts can release cleanly without damaging cosmetic faces.
Material, pigment, gloss, and texture are checked together to reduce mismatch risk across production batches.

Painting, pad printing, silk-screening, and marking are planned around masking, adhesion, and cosmetic requirements.
Heat staking, ultrasonic welding, insert installation, and packaging needs can be included in the manufacturing review.
Samples, dimensions, and appearance standards are checked before repeat production is released.

Injection molding cost is driven by mold fabrication, material, cavity count, cycle time, surface finish, and part complexity. Simplifying structures and improving wall thickness can reduce the total program cost.
The customer typically owns the dedicated mold. Aiketek coordinates storage, maintenance, and production release around the agreed tooling scope.
Common programs include automotive parts, consumer electronics, medical devices, packaging, industrial equipment, and aerospace support components.
